Open standards increase compatibility and lower the barrier of entry for software
developers in a given domain. We are actively involved in utilizing and developing open standards, such as RETS (the Real Estate Transaction Standard).
Our work with open standards includes facilitating workgroups,
business analysis, advanced technology research and development, and extensive technical writing. Ask us how we
can help you take a planned or existing open standard from inception to adoption in your industry.
Business Integration enables different computer technologies to share data.
This application integration, which can occur among legacy applications or across the Internet, leverages a company's
existing investment and decreases time to market for new services. It allows different applications to appear to work
as a seamless unit. The benefits of business integration include: making it easier to integrate acquisitions,
enabling business to shorten the time to market for new services, and improving a business' ability to react to market
demands.
Our experience with Business Integration includes enterprise level
B2B and B2C solutions in Banking, eCommerce, and Real Estate. We employ service oriented architecture to design these
solutions, and apply business intelligence to understand customer response patterns and better align business processes.

Code Audit and Remediation
|
Code audits examine conformance to standards, detect design flaws and anti-patterns, expose
possible security breaches, and determine potential performance issues. In addition, the code is reviewed for items
that either impact or support the flexibility, maintainability, and scalability of the product. The assessment of the
code base may also include a plan and cost to remediate critical issues identified.
The current environment of mergers and outsourcing often results in a business assuming responsibility for code it
did not create. As an independent third party, we assist these businesses with their due diligence regarding such software
assets. When a remediation plan is requested, we offer mentoring and co-development to assist the on-site staff in assuming
ownership of the code.
Group facilitation and workshop techniques are useful at any stage in the software development
lifecycle. The facilitator helps groups achieve their goals by helping the diverse members of the group think systematically.
A facilitator can challenge group members to identify criteria and bring consensus out of chaos.
We at Ronin Technologies are experienced at facilitation, applying such techniques as Joint Application Design/Development
(JAD) and Class-Responsibility-Collaborator (CRC). We have facilitated both inter-company and intra-company sessions.
These techniques were critical to the development of the RETS2 specification.
